A collaboration between Anoushka & Steve Gourlay, Thomo & Coach was born through a process of making furniture for themselves and friends, at a time when they couldn't easily source pieces to suit their lifestyle, aesthetic and budget. Since then Thomo & Coach has continued to evolve, designing and making beautiful simple pieces for both commercial and residential clients and events.
With Steve at the helm, steel is a prominent feature of Thomo & Coach design, reflecting his early years as an apprentice fabricating steel within his family's business. Similarly, Steve's profession as an renowned skateboard photographer translates to his eye for angles and details, and sometimes his penchant for sheer anarchy.
Anoushka with her own business in events and interior design often collaborates on the design, at times restraining the aforementioned 'anarchy' to produce pieces which are hopefully balanced, calm and timeless. Thomo & Coach furniture features predominantly recycled Australian hardwood, with non-toxic timber finishes.
